A Few Stray Poems

Prayer for a Robin

Traveling to work today,
I saw a Robin, wounded,
Lying in the road,
In h
is last, futile throes,
Victim of a speeding car.

Seeing him there,
I said a
prayer for the Robin,
That when I arrive in Heaven,
He will be there,
With other songbirds,
Singing with the chorus of Heaven
To our King.
